Senior Fellow and Data Scientist

Role Description This is a contract-based hybrid role for a Senior Fellow and Data Scientist, located in the New York City Metropolitan Area with flexibility for partial remote work. Responsibilities include designing and implementing data-driven solutions to support sustainable development goals, analyzing complex datasets, creating data models, and generating actionable insights. The role will require collaboration across multistakeholder groups, leveraging technical expertise to inform decision-making, and contributing to international development strategies. The Senior Fellow will also mentor junior team members and contribute to thought leadership in the domain of data science for sustainable development. Qualifications • Expertise in Data Analysis, Data Modeling, and Statistical Methods • Proficiency in Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, and Big Data Tools • Programming skills in Python, R, and SQL • Ability to communicate data insights effectively through Visualizations and Storytelling • Experience with Data Collection, Cleaning, and Validation Processes • Knowledge of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and practical experience in development programs • Excellent communication and collaborative leadership abilities • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields • Familiarity with predictive modeling in international development and experience working with diverse stakeholder groups • Knowlwge of UN Sustainable Developement Golas (SDGs) • Certified Senior Fellow from our centre • Prefarably a Next Generation Leader from our centre.
