Job Title: Senior Healthcare Data Analyst

Job Description:
We are looking for a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Healthcare Data Analyst with a strong background in EHR/EMR data ecosystems, healthcare interoperability standards, and clinical informatics. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of healthcare data models, FHIR APIs, and population health analytics to drive actionable insights across clinical and operational domains.
This is a strategic, hands-on role suited for a healthcare IT expert passionate about leveraging data to improve care delivery, outcomes, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ β¬ Architect and execute complex data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from multiple EHR/EMR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Athenahealth).
β’ β¬ Integrate and normalize clinical, claims, financial, and patient-reported data across disparate systems.
β’ β¬ Utilize advanced analytics techniques (predictive modeling, risk stratification, machine learning) to identify care gaps, high-risk patients, and clinical performance trends.
β’ β¬ Develop FHIR-based API integrations and work with HL7 interfaces to support real-time data exchange.
β’ β¬ Translate regulatory reporting requirements (eCQMs, MIPS, ACO, HEDIS, CMS Stars) into actionable reporting dashboards.
β’ β¬ Partner with clinical and administrative stakeholders to align data analytics with value-based care initiatives.
β’ β¬ Perform root cause analysis and lead data governance initiatives to ensure high data quality and consistency.
β’ β¬ Guide data strategy around healthcare interoperability, patient matching, and longitudinal patient records.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
β’ β¬ Bachelorβs or Masterβs in Health Informatics, Data Science, Biostatistics, or related field.
β’ β¬ Should have min 8 years of IT experience
β’ β¬ 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare data analytics, informatics, or health IT.
β’ β¬ Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data wrangling and advanced statistical analysis.
β’ β¬ Hands-on experience with FHIR, HL7v2, CDA/CCD, and SMART on FHIR applications.
β’ β¬ Deep understanding of EHR data structures, clinical data models (OMOP, PCORnet, i2b2), and HIE systems.
β’ β¬ Experience in data visualization and BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or QlikView.
β’ β¬ Familiarity with clinical ontologies (SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, ICD-10, CPT).
β’ β¬ Knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, and data privacy/security regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ β¬ Certification in Epic Clarity, Caboodle, or other EMR analytics platforms.
β’ β¬ Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse).
β’ β¬ Experience working with payer data, claims adjudication, or actuarial modeling.
β’ β¬ Knowledge of NLP techniques applied to clinical notes and unstructured data.
β’ β¬ Hands-on experience supporting NCQA, CMS ACO REACH, or other quality programs.
