Position Summary
THIS POSITION IS FULLY REMOTE BUT DES MOINES, IA RESIDENTS WILL BE PREFFERED
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders, project teams, and leadership to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and support the delivery of scalable digital solutions that improve operational efficiency and business performance. This is a fully remote position offering flexibility and collaboration across distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements
β’ Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and improvement
β’ Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and project documentation
β’ Work closely with development, QA, operations, and project teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives
β’ Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions to define project scope and priorities
β’ Support system implementations, enhancements, integrations, and software deployments
β’ Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), test planning, and issue tracking
β’ Create and maintain documentation including process maps, requirement documents, training materials, and SOPs
β’ Monitor project progress and communicate updates, risks, and dependencies to leadership and stakeholders
β’ Support change management and end-user training initiatives during system rollouts
β’ Ensure solutions align with organizational standards, governance, and security practices
β’ Coordinate cross-functional communication between technical teams and business users
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
β’ 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Coordination, IT Operations, or similar roles
β’ Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
β’ Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
β’ Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
β’ Strong written and verbal communication abilities
β’ Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
β’ Experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
β’ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools such as Teams, Zoom, or Slack
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience working with enterprise applications, digital platforms, or software implementation projects
β’ Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow
β’ Experience supporting digital transformation or process improvement initiatives
β’ Industry experience in healthcare, finance, agriculture, insurance, or technology preferred
β’ Agile or Scrum certifications are a plus
