Location: Must be near one of the following – Hillsboro, OR | Austin, TX | Charlotte, NC - 2 days onsite
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Insider Threat Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for detecting, investigating, and mitigating insider threats using advanced monitoring tools, behavioral analytics, and data analysis techniques.
You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with IT, HR, Legal, and Compliance teams to assess risks, respond to incidents, and drive proactive threat mitigation strategies. If you’re passionate about cybersecurity, experienced in threat detection, and skilled in SIEM tools and data analysis, we’d love to connect.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring & Detection:
• Utilize advanced tools to identify suspicious behavior, anomalies, and insider threats.
• Analyze logs, user activity, and access patterns for early threat detection.
Investigation & Analysis:
• Conduct thorough investigations into suspected threats.
• Perform root cause and impact analysis to support remediation.
Threat Hunting:
• Execute proactive threat hunting in large-scale corporate environments.
• Apply cyber threat intelligence for enrichment, correlation, and attribution.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation:
• Evaluate threat severity and potential business impact.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce insider risk.
Reporting & Communication:
• Prepare reports and briefings for executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively across departments to align mitigation efforts.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on insider threat detection.
Strong expertise in:
• Threat detection and behavioral analytics
• User activity monitoring and insider threat indicators
• Security monitoring tools and SIEM platforms
• Proficiency in security automation, scripting, and log analysis
• Real-world experience reducing Mean Time to Respond (MTTR)
Nice to Have:
• Experience working in regulated environments
• Spanish language skills (for cross-border collaboration)
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GIAC
