Senior Java Developer

Morgan Hunt are working with a public sector organisation to recruit a senior software developer. The organisation are looking for an experienced developer with solid commercial experience of building web applications and REST APIs using Spring Boot in an OpenShift/AWS. Strong Public Sector Experience is essential Main Objectives of the role: Deliver technical solutions that ensure: • Upgrades to support compliance with accessibility standards • Improve operational efficiency for administrative users of the services • Improve the user experience and user interface • Optimise the citizen interactions • Ensure compliance with data protection legislation • Effective support and maintenance of the system components Essential Skills: Significant commercial experience with the following technology: • Java 17+ • Spring boot microservices • Data modelling and SQL development, ideally PostgreSQL • REST APIs • AWS, AWS Lambda, S3, Typescript • Modern DevOps and CI/CD practices including deployment pipelines Details:- 6 month contract Remote role (with very occasional office attendance, average 1 day every 6 months) £420- £470 per day outside IR35 Please get in touch for further information.
