Our client's Business and Market Strategy team is seeking a seasoned Senior Market Analyst to lead internal customer and competitive intelligence efforts. This role is pivotal in shaping strategic direction by uncovering insights from internal research and aligning them with external market dynamics. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to synthesize findings that inform leadership decisions and support earnings preparation and messaging.

Key Responsibilities
Internal Intelligence & Data Source Management
• Identify and maintain a repository of internal data sources and reports related to customer and competitive intelligence.
• Establish and nurture relationships with internal teams (e.g., R&I, CXP) to stay informed on emerging insights.
• Proactively monitor internal research streams to surface relevant findings.
Insight Analysis & Reporting
• Analyze internal reports and data to extract strategic insights relevant to market positioning.
• Develop succinct, executive-ready reports and slide decks summarizing key takeaways.
• Participate in weekly team think sessions, contributing insights and strategic perspectives.
Strategic Research Support
• Conduct desk research to support special projects and strategic initiatives.
• Assist in preparing market updates for leadership, aligning findings with broader business narratives.
Team Rhythm of Business (ROB) Support
• Draft deliverables for executive communications and leadership briefings.
• Manage team agenda, track open items, and support offsite planning and execution.
Required Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in market analysis, strategy, or related fields with a strong focus on cloud technologies.
• Cloud Expertise: At least 8 years of experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, including familiarity with cloud business models and competitive dynamics.
• Research & Analysis: Proven ability to distill complex reports into actionable insights; strong analytical and writing skills.
• Strategic Communication: Demonstrated ability to craft concise, impactful narratives for executive audiences.
• Work Style: Self-starter with a proactive mindset; thrives in ambiguous environments and can independently drive initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience at Microsoft, Amazon, or Google.
• Background in marketing or strategic communications.
• Familiarity with internal research ecosystems (e.g., R&I, CXP).
• Experience supporting earnings preparation or executive messaging.
• Advanced degree in business, marketing, or a related field (not required but beneficial).
