Job Title: MI Senior Developer Location: Remote or, if close to client office, Hybrid (Manchester, Peterborough, Portsmouth, or others) 12-month Fixed Term Contract About the Role: Our Client is seeking an experienced MI Senior Developer to join their dynamic MI team. This is a key role for someone passionate about transforming data into actionable insights, delivering high-quality management information, and mentoring junior team members. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Develop, maintain, and enhance the BI platform to enable efficient access to business data and insights. β€’ Use SAS (EG, DI Studio, VA) to extract, transform, and analyse large datasets for financial and operational decision-making. β€’ Collaborate with internal stakeholders, translating technical data into insights that non-technical colleagues can easily understand. β€’ Proactively identify opportunities to improve data processes, efficiency, and quality. β€’ Support data governance initiatives, ensuring adherence to FSA, TCF, and GDPR regulations. β€’ Assist in resolving data issues, liaising with IT where necessary, and mentoring junior team members. β€’ Prioritise tasks, plan workloads, and deliver high-quality solutions on time. Essential Skills & Experience: β€’ Solid experience in an MI-focused role. β€’ Advanced Excel skills. β€’ Strong experience with SAS: coding, Enterprise Guide (EG), Data Integration Studio (DI), and Visual Analytics (VA). β€’ Experience with data quality management concepts. β€’ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsβ€”able to explain complex technical information to non-technical audiences. β€’ Proactive problem-solving skills and strong analytical mindset. β€’ Organised, methodical, and confident in decision-making. Desirable Skills: β€’ Familiarity with Airflow, Power BI, T-SQL, or GIT. β€’ Educated to degree level or equivalent.
