Senior Order Management Engineer – SAP (Contract-to-Hire) Location: Northern Chicago Suburbs – onsite Duration: 6 months CTH We are seeking a Senior Order Management Engineer to drive enhancements across a highly customized SAP order management ecosystem. This is a hands-on role where you will partner across the end-to-end order lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and stability while supporting a brownfield S/4HANA migration. What You’ll Do • Own and enhance SAP-driven Order Management (OM) capabilities • Develop and support solutions in SAP ECC and S/4HANA with SAP ABAP • Troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting delivery dates, routing, sourcing, and downstream processes • Partner cross-functionally across supply chain, transportation, customer service, and finance • Contribute to documentation: runbooks, process flows, and support procedures • Support modernization and clean-core initiatives tied to S/4HANA migration • Provide technical leadership balancing project work and production support What We’re Looking For • 5+ years of senior SAP development experience with strong ABAP expertise • Proven experience supporting or enhancing Order-to-Cash processes • Comfortable in highly customized SAP environments (not vanilla SAP) • Strong troubleshooting skills linking technical behavior to business impact • Exposure to S/4HANA is highly preferred Bonus Skills • Brownfield S/4HANA migration experience • Familiarity with AWS services • Experience in large enterprise ecosystems with complex integrations • Knowledge of integrations between SAP and external systems (Salesforce, finance platforms, ecommerce channels) Why You Should Apply This is a direct client opportunity – we do not work with third parties or vendors.
