Position: Payroll Integration Developer (Workday) Location: 100% remote Contract Duration: 3+ months with potential extension Pay rate: $100.00-105.00/hr on w2 Job Summary: Core Expertise Required: Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Integration Developer with extensive experience in Workday Payroll and proven success leading or supporting complex payroll transformations. This role is critical to ensuring seamless payroll processing, system integration, and data integrity as we optimize and scale our payroll operations. Key Responsibilities β€’ Design, develop, and maintain Workday payroll integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and EIBs. β€’ Serve as a technical SME for Workday Payroll configuration and integration with third-party systems such as tax, time-tracking, benefits, and accounting platforms. β€’ Lead technical aspects of a pay frequency conversion project β€” specifically transitioning from semi-monthly to bi-weekly payroll β€” ensuring accurate pay cycles, retro calculations, and compliance with local and federal requirements. β€’ Collaborate closely with Payroll Operations, HRIS, Finance, and IT to manage end-to-end integration testing, troubleshooting, and deployment. β€’ Support continuous improvement by monitoring integration performance, identifying automation opportunities, and maintaining detailed documentation. β€’ Ensure compliance with payroll and data security standards while maintaining a strong change control process. Required Qualifications β€’ 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Payroll, including configuration, integrations, and reporting. β€’ Deep understanding of Workday integration tools (Workday Studio, Core Connectors, PECI, Workday Web Services, and EIBs). β€’ Demonstrated experience executing a pay frequency transition (e.g., semi-monthly β†’ bi-weekly), with a focus on minimizing pay discrepancies and ensuring seamless downstream impacts (e.g., benefits, accruals, taxes). β€’ Proven ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Payroll, HR, and Technology teams. β€’ Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll regulations, taxation, and compliance. β€’ Excellent problem-solving, testing, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications β€’ Experience integrating Workday with ADP, Kronos, or other timekeeping/payroll tax systems. β€’ Familiarity with Workday Prism, BIRT, or Advanced Reporting. β€’ Exposure to global payroll integrations or multi-country payroll environments. β€’ Workday certification in Payroll or Integrations is a plus.
