Senior PL/SQL Developer

Position: Sr PLSQL Developer Location: Houston, TX - 3 Days Hybrid Onsite Duration: 5 Months + Contract They will be responsible for ramping up development using Oracle PL/SQL, working through the SDLC and delivering work streams identified in project plans for the retail commissions team. Working on retail commissions automation projects, as well. Responsibilities: • Working closely with technical leads to understanding requirements for what needs to be built • Follow complete SDLC cycle from coding, testing, deployment and production support • Performing unit and system testing • Working closely with IT lead for code reviews • Communicating with retail commissions team making sure requirements are met and data matches reports • Commissions and IT team will spend a lot of time testing to make sure they are correct • Data digging and data analysis • Interfacing with retail commissions team, DBA team - permissions set up, controlM team - back scheduling • Juggling multiple workstreams at once Must-haves: • 10-15+ years of experience in Software development • 10-12+ years of strong development experience using Oracle PL/SQL including experience using features like Analytical functions, merge statements, WITH clause, oracle partitioning, job logging, exception handling, performance tuning • 90% of their time will be spent working with Oracle PL/SQL; coding, tasking, using SQL developer tools • 10% working on Unix scripts • 10-12+ years of experience in Oracle 12c or 19c • 5+ years of experience in a Data Warehouse environment • Troubleshooting and data analysis skills Additional Skills: • Enterprise level experience • Working in a data warehouse environment • NOT a DBA (avoid this!) • Experience in the energy industry, understanding terminology, ERCOT knowledge
