Senior Portfolio Analyst

We Are Hiring: Senior Portfolio Analyst (Power BI & Financial Reporting) Industry: Utilities Location: Hybrid- San Ramon Experience: 5+ Year About the Role We are seeking a Portfolio Governance Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and governance activities across a large operations portfolio. This role focuses on budget tracking, data analysis, and Power BI reporting, working closely with finance and business stakeholders to drive informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Support monthly governance processes including reporting, data analysis, and stakeholder coordination • Track budget vs forecast, identify risks, and provide insights on financial performance • Manage and support financial change control processes • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards (including paginated reports) • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Portfolio teams • Present insights and reports to senior leadership • Recommend improvements to reporting tools and governance processes Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experience in portfolio analysis, financial reporting, or governance • Strong expertise in: • Power BI (Paginated Reports) • Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, forecasting, variance analysis) • Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint) • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis • Understanding of governance and change control processes • Strong data analysis skills and experience working with large datasets • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Nice to Have • Experience in utilities or regulated industries • Exposure to SAP or similar enterprise tools
