ob Title: Senior Power BI Developer / Data Analyst
Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to design, build, and deliver advanced data visualization solutions that drive data-informed decision-making across the agency. This role requires a highly skilled individual with expertise in data analytics, dimensional data modeling, and Power BI development.
As part of the team, you will:
Build complex dimensional data models, dashboards, and reports from the ground up.
Visualize compelling data stories on the report canvas.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative, agency-wide data solutions.
Develop and implement efficient data visualization solutions using Power BI.
Create, test, and deploy Power BI scripts (Python, M, and DAX) to execute deep analysis.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics capabilities and mentor other team members when needed.
This position requires strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
8 years β Mastery in data analytics and creating complex reports.
4 years β Using Power BI to build dashboards and interactive visual reports.
4 years β Creating, testing, and deploying Power BI scripts (Python, M, and DAX) and performing advanced data analysis.
1 year β Previous experience working with Texas state agencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
4 years β Prior experience in data-related tasks.
1 year β Experience with Source Control (Git/BitBucket).
1 year β Experience with SAS and .sas7bdat datasets.
1 year β Experience with Jira.
1 year β Experience with other BI tools such as SAP or Tableau.
