Job Title: Senior Power BI Developer Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 4 days onsite) Type: Contract Job Description We are seeking highly experienced Senior Power BI Developers to join our retail industry client in Charlotte, NC. This role requires deep expertise in Power BI development, Power Platform integration, and advanced data modeling. The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical skills, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful business insights. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and deploy advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets. • Create and manage data sources and data models to ensure accuracy and performance. • Implement role-level security (RLS) and manage user access. • Apply best practices in data visualization to communicate insights effectively. • Integrate Power BI with Power Platform tools for enhanced automation and analytics capabilities. • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Optimize performance of reports, datasets, and queries for scalability and responsiveness. Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of professional experience with Power BI development in enterprise environments. • Proven expertise with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps). • Strong proficiency in data modeling, DAX, and Power Query (M language). • Experience creating, applying, and maintaining data sources. • Skilled in implementing Role Level Security (RLS). • Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and storytelling with data. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Retail industry experience is a plus.
