Job Title:Β Senior PowerBuilder Developer (Contract)
Location:Β E Main Street, Richmond, VA (Hybrid: 3-4 days/week onsite)
Contract Duration:Β 6+ Months
Max Rate:Β $70-80/hour all-inclusive

β’ Due to work nature US Citizen or Green Card Holder required.
Provide senior-level analysis, development, and maintenance for legacy tax processing systems, including building interfaces between legacy IRMS and modern GenTax systems during a critical modernization rollout. Work collaboratively in an Agile team environment with version control using Azure DevOps/TFS, focusing on PowerBuilder 12.5+ applications and relational databases like Oracle 19c.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and maintain PowerBuilder applications with clear, maintainable code.
β’ Support legacy system backfill and develop GenTax-IRMS interfaces under management direction.
β’ Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in Agile/Scrum environments for requirements analysis, design discussions, and implementation.
β’ Utilize Team Foundation Server (Azure DevOps) for version control and application lifecycle management.
β’ Engage with business analysts, team leads, and other development teams through excellent verbal/written communication.
β’ Work independently and collaboratively while maintaining attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 7+ years hands-on experience developing PowerBuilder applications (version 12.5 or higher).
β’ 7+ years with relational databases (Oracle 19c or higher, MySQL, or similar).
β’ 5+ years designing/developing clear, maintainable code.
β’ 5+ years with Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps for version control and ALM.
β’ 2+ years Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Highly Preferred:
β’ Product/functional knowledge of IRMS tax/revenue management systems.
