Role description
Job Title: Senior Principal Statistics Location: New Jersey, NJ Pay Rate: $90–$93/hour (W2) Duration: 24-week Contract Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Statistician to lead and execute statistical activities across clinical trials. This role involves end-to-end statistical support, from protocol development through final study reporting, as well as contributions to regulatory filings, drug in-licensing, and marketing activities. Key Responsibilities • Review study protocols, interpret requirements, and develop statistical sections • Design study elements including sample size calculations, analysis methods, and study duration • Review CRFs, database designs, and edit check specifications • Evaluate study quality surveillance plans and monitor study conduct • Prepare and/or review Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), TFL shells, and variable derivation specifications • Collaborate with Statistical Programmers and Clinical Data Management to identify and resolve data quality issues • Provide statistical and validation support for analysis datasets and outputs • Review study reports, manuscripts, and other statistical documents • Support regulatory submissions, including responses to health authorities and additional analyses • Perform ad hoc statistical analyses as required • Partner with cross-functional teams, vendors, and study teams to ensure timely deliverables • Monitor CRO activities and review deliverables Qualifications • Ph.D. or MS in Statistics or Biostatistics • Minimum 4 years (Ph.D.) or 6 years (MS) experience in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry • Strong proficiency in SAS • In-depth knowledge of industry standards including ICH guidelines, CDISC data structures, and FDA regulations • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Proven ability to lead CRO statisticians and statistical programmers Core Competencies • Analytical thinking and attention to detail • Leadership and collaboration • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment • Strong verbal and written communication • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Work Environment Requirements • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities • Maintain composure under pressure • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately • Strong observational skills and attention to detail EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY STATEMENT: Suna Solutions provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
