We are hiring for a Senior Python Developer and play a key role in building a modern, web-based underwriting workbench. You'll be developing robust back-end microservices and APIs, integrating distributed systems, and applying event-driven architecture — all within a collaborative Agile team environment Key Responsibilities • Work on building a web-based underwriting workbench. • Develop back-end microservices and APIs. • Integrate with other services using JSON over REST/HTTP. • Implement event-driven and asynchronous integration patterns using Azure Service Bus. • Collaborate closely with team members through pair programming. • Contribute to work refinement and planning in a Scrum framework. • Support colleagues and engage with the Python community at the company. Must Have Skills And Responsibilities • Strong proficiency in Python (version 3.13). • Experience with FastAPI, SQL Alchemy, and Alembic. • Proficiency with testing frameworks such as pytest and mypy. • Hands-on experience in asynchronous programming (asyncio). • Familiarity with PostgreSQL database management. • Experience with Azure services (Service Bus, Azure pipelines, and Container Apps). • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code. • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborative environments. • Understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
