What You Will Be Doing
β’ Reporting and Insight Generation
β’ Drive customer success by developing and delivering clear, visually engaging, impactful reports, dashboards and presentations customized to customer requirements and pain points.
β’ Serve as the analytics business partner to translate data-driven insights in a way that's easy for both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand.
β’ Build scalable reporting infrastructure by creating templatized reporting capabilities that can be quickly deployed to deliver consistent insights to multiple customers.
β’ Develop data and analyses using analytical tools to perform calculations and data manipulation to surface insights and visualizations and build complex datasets and reports.
β’ Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
β’ Provide analytical support to internal stakeholders to facilitate strategic decisions and enhance customer experience.
β’ Collaborate with the Cascade software team to find ways to leverage and integrate reporting and analytics into the software platform
β’ Partner with customers to understand business objectives and translate them into actionable analytical requirements.
β’ Data Quality and Management
β’ Own the end-to-end data quality process by monitoring and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data and data sources.
β’ Identify gaps or inconsistencies in data and recommend solutions to address them while communicating implications to stakeholders.
β’ User Provisioning, Subscription Management & Data Configuration
β’ Manage user provisioning, subscriptions, and data configurations, ensuring accurate data access and management aligned with customer contracts and usage needs.
β’ Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure data is correctly provisioned, maintained, and accessible for customer use.
β’ Continuous Improvement and Innovation
β’ Lead process creation by designing and implementing analytics workflows, documentation standards, and best practices as the foundational member of the analytics team.
β’ Recommend and implement improvements to our analytics infrastructure, tools, and methodologies.
β’ Explore innovative ways to provide value to customers through data visualization, predictive analytics, and automation.
β’ Project and Process Ownership
β’ Lead multiple analytics projects with attention to detail, timelines, and quality.
β’ Own documentation, requirements gathering, stakeholder communications, and training materials to support effective project delivery.
β’ Customer Engagement and Insight Delivery
β’ Act as a consultative partner to customers and internal teams, gathering requirements, translating business needs into analytical solutions, and presenting insights with clarity.
β’ Applied Domain Learning
β’ Develop an understanding of the energy efficiency and decarbonization landscape, including emissions reporting, energy data, and industry benchmarks, to provide meaningful context and elevate the quality of analytics and reporting.
This is a full-time, exempt position located in Portland Oregon. We are also open to non-Portland candidates with a willingness to travel regularly
Minimal travel is anticipated for this role.
Qualifications
Applicants for this role are required to have:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in computer science, business, communications or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
β’ 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role.
β’ Strong proficiency in SQL or SQL-like frameworks and experience querying large, relational databases and non-relational databases.
β’ Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, QuickSight etc.).
β’ Excellent analytical skills, including experience turning complex data into actionable, clear insights.
β’ Strong communication skills, capable of presenting findings clearly to diverse audiences.
β’ Ability to independently manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
β’ Collaborative mindset, with experience working closely with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
A successful candidate should also demonstrate these preferred characteristics and/or skills:
β’ Familiarity with sustainability and energy management data analytics preferred.
β’ Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python or R) for data analysis and automation preferred.
β’ Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaborative product development preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
Our total rewards include competitive pay and excellent benefits. The salary range for this position in Portland Oregon is $101,600 - $127,000. However, final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experiences, and geographical location if different than the above.
