Role Title: Senior Salesforce Platform Developer with Public Sector Solutions (PSS) Location: Springfield, IL Type of contract: W2 Note: This is a W-2 employee position on our payroll. Unfortunately, 1099/C2C/C2H is not allowed at this time. Job Description: Client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Platform Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing Omni scripts, custom Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components to extend Salesforce functionality in a Salesforce Government Cloud Plus Public Sector Solutions (PSS) environment. The Senior Platform Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining platform code within Salesforce while ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability. This role requires a deep understanding of database management systems, software development methodologies, and DevOps practices. The successful candidate must possess excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. Key Responsibilities: Development & Customization Develop and customize Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Flow Builder. Extend Public Sector Solutions (PSS) framework, including: Public Sector Solutions data model Omniscript, Flex Cards, Data Raptors, and Integration Procedures PDF/Word document generation Write unit and integration test cases to ensure at least 85% test coverage. Perform independent code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Security & Compliance Implement security best practices, including data encryption, identity and access management, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaborate with the security team to address vulnerabilities and implement necessary safeguards. Conduct security assessments and implement Salesforce Shield to meet data privacy requirements. Ensure platform solutions adhere to compliance standards such as: HIPAA IRS Publication 1075 (Federal Tax Information) Database Management & Integrations Develop integrations between Salesforce and On-Premise SQL/Azure SQL environments. Optimize database performance using normalization and denormalization methodologies (e.g., Boyce-Codd/Inmon, Kimball). Utilize Salesforce Connect, SOAP/REST APIs, JSON, SOQL, SOSL, and Chatter APIs for seamless data exchange. Implement version control using Git and maintain robust DevOps pipelines with Copado CI/CD. System Architecture & DevOps Work closely with architects to ensure solutions align with the overall platform architecture. Develop scalable and maintainable solutions, incorporating design patterns and best practices. Utilize DevOps tools such as Copado for continuous integration and deployment. Collaboration & Leadership Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and develop customized solutions. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers and team members. Document technical specifications and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing across the organization. Required Skills & Experience: 5-8 years of Salesforce development experience. 6+ years of overall development experience. Proficiency in Salesforce development tools, including: Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Flow Builder Public Sector Solutions (PSS) framework (Omniscript, FlexCards, Data Raptors, Integration Procedures) Strong experience with: Programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, HTML, SQL, PowerShell, .NET, C# Database management systems (SQL, NoSQL) in both On-Premise and Cloud environments Software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) Salesforce Connect, SOAP/REST APIs, JSON, SOQL, SOSL, and outbound messaging integrations Version control systems (Git) and DevOps tools (Copado CI/CD) Expertise in security best practices, including data encryption and compliance (HIPAA, IRS Pub 1075).
