🚀 Sr. Scientist – Validation & Data Management
Location: Scarborough, Maine, 04074
Contract: 6+ months, possibly extendable
Shift: 8 AM – 5 PM
Relocation may be considered by the client; however, candidates will need to cover their own relocation costs.
Are you a hands-on scientist with a passion for validation and data analysis? We’re looking for a Sr. Scientist to join our team and play a key role in reagent manufacturing processes. If you love working in the lab, analyzing complex data, and turning insights into actionable process improvements, this role is for you!
What You’ll Do:
• Draft, execute, and report on validation protocols for processes like mixing, pooling, and cleaning
• Design and analyze experiments (DOE) to optimize reagent manufacturing
• Collect, synthesize, and visualize data to generate dashboards and actionable insights
• Collaborate with R&D and QA teams to improve processes, ensure quality, and maintain compliance
• Create and update SOPs, technical documents, and safety instructions
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to recommend process improvements
What You Bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or similar (Master’s or PhD preferred)
• 6+ years in scientific or technical roles in Operations or R&D
• Strong lab experience and familiarity with reagent/process handling
• Expertise in data analysis and visualization; statistical software experience (Minitab, JMP)
• Knowledge of validation protocols, operational qualification, and process validation
Bonus Points:
• Experience with diagnostics or immunoassay technologies
• Familiarity with project management tools like Smartsheet or Microsoft Project
