Senior Security Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Security Developer for a 12-18 month contract position with our Fortune 500 banking client. Rate: $84 - $89/hr W2. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Location: Chandler, AZ - onsite 3 days a week Seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Developer with deep experience in integrating with Java-based APIs for HSMs and KMSs technologies and strong proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation technologies. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise developing Terraform modules and custom providers on Terraform Enterprise (TFE), writing Ansible playbooks, and working with Python and Go. This role requires strong understanding of CI/CD workflows, Git-based development practices, and agile Scrum methodologies. API Integration Backend Development Design, integrate, and optimize solutions interacting with Java-based APIs. Develop reliable, secure, and scalable services and automation components using Python and Go. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API performance, connectivity, and data integrity. Infrastructure-as-Code Automation Build, maintain, and enhance Terraform modules and custom providers for TFE. Write Ansible playbooks to automate configuration management, system provisioning, and application deployment. Champion IaC best practices, ensuring consistent, repeatable, and secure infrastructure deployments across environments. CI/CD Version Control Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting automated testing, building, and deployment workflows. Perform code check-ins, pull request reviews, and branching strategy management using Bitbucket. Ensure alignment with DevOps standards, including static code analysis, security scanning, compliance checks, and automated validation. Agile Delivery Operate as an active, collaborative member of a Scrum team using Jira for sprint planning, tracking, and reporting. Participate in daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. • Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes, tooling, and development practices. Required Experience • 7 to 10 years of experience • Experience working with security technologies like Thales, FutureX, Utimaco HSMs and KMS products • Extensive experience integrating with Java APIs. • Hands-on expertise building Terraform modules and providers, preferably on Terraform Enterprise (TFE). • Proficiency developing Ansible playbooks for automation and configuration management. • Working experience with Python and Golang. • Strong understanding of IaC principles, DevOps practices, and cloud-based automation. • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Bitbucket (or similar Git platforms), and automated workflows.
