Job Description:
As a Senior ServiceNow Developer specializing in Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and Service Development, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise solutions on the ServiceNow platform for healthcare clients. This position is crucial for enabling effective portfolio, program, and project management, thereby streamlining healthcare delivery, improving investment decisions, and enhancing operational transparency and outcomes. You will leverage your technical acumen and industry experience to build scalable, innovative solutions that impact both clinical and administrative processes.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
STRATEGIC PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT (SPM)
• Configure and develop ServiceNow SPM modules, including Demand Management, Project & Program Management, Resource Management, Portfolio Planning, Agile, and Application Portfolio Management (APM).
• Facilitate portfolio alignment and execution for healthcare initiatives such as clinical application deployments, digital health platforms, and infrastructure enhancements.
• Implement financial tracking and cost transparency (CAPEX/OPEX) using Investment Funding and portfolio financial management tools.
• Optimize resource capacity and allocation across IT and healthcare delivery teams using advanced resource planning capabilities.
• Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and KPIs to monitor portfolio health, financial performance, and resource utilization.
SERVICE DEVELOPMENT; AUTOMATION
• - Design and build custom scoped applications to automate healthcare‑specific workflows (e.g., credentialing, equipment tracking, internal service requests).
• - Build and maintain intuitive Service Portals with user‑friendly interfaces for clinicians and administrative stakeholders.
• - Create and enhance Service Catalog items, leveraging Flow Designer to implement complex approval and fulfillment workflows.
• - Develop and maintain process automations using Flow Designer, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and custom data tables.
PLATFORM; INTEGRATION
• - Support seamless integrations between ServiceNow SPM and ITSM, HR, ERP, and financial systems.
• - Collaborate with business process consultants and functional teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• - Participate actively in release management, solution testing, platform upgrades, and governance activities.
• - Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, design standards, and performance optimization protocols.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• 7–8 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, with a focus on SPM/PPM modules.
• Proven expertise in Service Portal development, Widget creation, Scoped Applications, and Flow Designer.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, ServiceNow data modeling, and platform administration.
• Strong knowledge of project, portfolio, financial, and resource management principles, especially within healthcare or regulated environments.
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) delivery models.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in consulting or managed service settings, collaborating with cross-functional and client teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS (OPTIONAL)
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist – Strategic Portfolio Management (CIS-SPM) certifications.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with ERP or financial systems.
