Role description
Sr. SQL Developer - Once a week travel to Washington, DC
β’ Experience with SQL server development, schema design, DB development (PL/SQL, Stored Procs) etc.
β’ Candidate MUST have SSIS experience, experienced in large scale data migrations and ETL process. Should have extensive experience with SSIS and data migration.
β’ Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance database architectures on Azure SQL (Managed Instance).
β’ Lead data architecture strategy and modeling efforts for operational and analytical workloads.
β’ Optimize query performance, indexing strategies, and resource governance in cloud environments.
β’ Collaborate with application teams to design highly available and disaster-resilient database solutions using Geo-replication, Failover Groups, and Backups.
β’ Ensure database security compliance using RBAC, managed identities, transparent data encryption (TDE), dynamic data masking, and auditing.
β’ Monitor and troubleshoot performance using Azure Monitor, SQL Insights, Query Store, and DMVs.
β’ Guide and mentor junior developers, participate in code reviews, and enforce best practices in SQL development.
β’ Work with cross-functional teams to support data governance, data lineage, and metadata management initiatives.
