Reach out to me ravi@omtechllc.com Note: W2 Contract (No C2C or 1099) Only US Citizen Title: Senior Tableau Developer Location: Hybrid in Minneapolis, MN (3days/week in office) Duration: 6-12+ month Contract Job Description: Position Summary: • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tableau Developer for a long-term contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying robust Tableau dashboards and data visualizations in a business-critical environment. • This is a W2-only role and is open exclusively to U.S. Citizens. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to transform raw data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain highly interactive Tableau dashboards and reports that meet business needs. • Gather and analyze requirements from cross-functional teams and translate them into visualizations. • Work with large datasets and build optimized SQL queries to extract and prepare data. • Apply data visualization best practices to communicate insights clearly and effectively. • Implement row-level security, filters, parameters, and user-based access on Tableau Server. • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure reliable and scalable data pipelines. • Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in Tableau dashboards and reports. • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all visual outputs. • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate closely with stakeholders throughout the SDLC. Required Qualifications: • 6+ years of hands-on experience in Tableau development (Desktop & Server). • Expert in building complex dashboards using advanced Tableau functionalities (e.g., LOD expressions, dynamic parameters, filters, calculated fields). • Strong SQL skills with experience working on large, complex datasets. • Proficient with data from relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, or Redshift. • Proven track record of delivering scalable and performant Tableau solutions. • Excellent understanding of data visualization principles and UX design in dashboards. • Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Tableau Prep or other data preparation tools. • Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Experience in finance, healthcare, or regulated industries is a plus. • Tableau Certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Certified Professional).
