JOB DESCRIPTION
A Software Development Engineer designs, develops, tests, installs, and maintains systems, applications, networks, and/or telecom and related processes to meet the functional objectives of the business. Assesses system, application, network, and/or telecom needs, provides modeling and simulation consulting to clarify client technology functionality, and evaluates and implement new advanced technologies. Ensures adherence to established technology standards and consults with senior leadership on technology solutions. Supports existing systems and is responsible for leading technical aspects of a project. Responsible for assigning resources and delegating tasks to meet project deliverables. Ideal candidate has HANDS ON experience working in Talend and HUGE PLUS if they have experience with TAC (Talend Administrative Console) and Talend Cloud. Candidates who have experience with Talend customization and tuning are strongly preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 10+ years of related IT experience
• 5+ years development experience with Talend Data Integration module or Talend Master Data Module
• 3+ years of Experience with Talend Administration Center (TAC), Data Quality, API Designer and Services, and Big Data Frameworks modules
• 3+ years of Performance Tuning experience of Talend
• 2+ or 3+ years of Azure or AWS experience
• Experience with database schema, object management, data modeling & architecture, and data warehouse design
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Strong knowledge of Java programming and PL- SQL
• Experience with API integration (REST)
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and Shell script
• Working knowledge of source-code control using a tool such as GitLab
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps development using secure coding practices
• Knowledge in emerging cloud technologies related to Big Data
• Previous experience in Finance/Banking industry
