Role description
Our client, a top design and technology agency, is looking to bring on a Freelance Senior Technical Lead. This is a fully remote, approximately 2-month contract at 40 hours per week, supporting the PST time zone.
Ideal candidates must have Wagtail and GCP (Google Cloud Platform) experience.
We're looking for support with functional updates to the navigation, sharing UI, and component types in a Wagtail CMS for a data-heavy enterprise website. The team will be making updates to the site, including the following:
(A) Cohesive sharing UI
(B) Local Year in Search Comparison Mode.
(C) CMS enhancements
(i.) New chart type selection to CMS
(ii.) New process for editing content on downloads
(D) Assorted visual design and UX fixes
(E) Year in Search consolidated navigation
(F) Story page enhancements
(i.) Quiz functionality
(ii.) Geographic reference on cards.
Runtime: Python 3.12
Framework: Django 5.0
CMS: Wagtail 6.2
Database: Google Cloud SQL
Storage: Google Cloud Storage
