Role description
Job Description Taylor & Francis are looking to bring on a technically minded individual, who is interested in combining the analytical intelligence from data and developing technical solutions to problems in data systems. The two key applications are of TM1 (Reporting and Calculation Engine) and Alteryx (ETL). With a background in project work, they will be able to demonstrate the ability to meeting tight deadlines and have a computer science or mathematics qualification. Closing Date: Applications will close on Friday 10th October 2025. What You’ll Be Doing The Senior TM1 Lead is responsible for supporting T&F applications, TM1 and Alteryx applications. The developer needs to meet all agreed upon service levels for all TM1 applications within their remit. This includes supporting day-to-day operations, as well as, medium and long-term development in support of business needs and strategy. Tasks Are Likely To Include β€’ Supporting technical development initiatives including tracking cash flows, revenue growth strategies, investment opportunities etc. β€’ Understanding these initiatives and how they feed into forecasting, budgeting and planning activities β€’ Challenges current processes and ways of working, striving for an optimal level of output which both delivers on requirements in a timely fashion β€’ Engaging with key stakeholders and relaying information in a way that is easy to understand and provides commercial (not just process orientated) insights β€’ Triaging Systems Issues and ensuring end user engagement in the tools used to report and manage the business β€’ Run daily development scrum calls for the TM1 pillar β€’ Quality Assurance on the completed work for TM1 team and guide where needed β€’ Involved in project prioritisation meetings and conflict resolution workshops with Finance Directors β€’ Coach team from career progression perspective β€’ Representing Finance alongside Director of Finance Systems in T&F Platforms Architecture calls with TSS Architecture teams β€’ Full ownership of the TM1 toolsets for T&F Finance including system upgrades and configuration β€’ Relationship management with IBM Qualifications What we're looking for: The Ideal Candidate Will Have β€’ BS Degree or equivalent professional qualifications β€’ Has a good knowledge of a wide area of information systems concepts and practice, both within and beyond own organization. Including all stages of systems development. β€’ Can demonstrate a rational and organized approach to the tasks undertaken and an awareness of the need to achieve quality Desired β€’ Good knowledge of MS Office applications as the basis for application builds. β€’ Familiarity with Alteryx and Power BI applications would be ideal, but full training will be provided.
