Role description
Contract-to-Hire or Direct-Hire (Flexible) Location: Remote or Hybrid (Decatur, AL preferred if local) Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire or Direct-Hire Permanent Travel: 10–25% (workshops, rollouts, stakeholder engagement) Environment: ServiceMax, FieldFX Mobile, Salesforce, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), REST/SOAP APIs, CI/CD, Mobile Field Service Platforms Expert Technical Solutions (ETS) is seeking a ServiceMax / FieldFX Developer to design, build, and support enterprise field service solutions used across operational teams. This role focuses on developing scalable, user-friendly field service workflows that improve technician productivity, scheduling accuracy, and service delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with ServiceMax, FieldFX Mobile, and Salesforce development, along with the ability to own solutions end to end—from discovery and design through deployment and long-term support. This role blends Apex development, Salesforce administration, integrations, and Agile leadership while mentoring other developers and partnering closely with business stakeholders. Responsibilities • Lead technical design and implementation of ServiceMax and FieldFX solutions on the Salesforce platform • Configure and customize ServiceMax and FieldFX modules including Dispatch Console, FX Forms, FX Jobs, Ticketing, and Asset Management • Develop and maintain custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Flows, Lightning Web Components (LWC), JavaScript, and APIs • Design scalable solutions supporting field operations, pricing, billing, inventory, and customer reporting • Build and maintain integrations between ServiceMax, FieldFX Mobile, Salesforce, ERP systems, and document management platforms • Support data migration, mapping, testing, synchronization, and data quality validation • Provide day-to-day technical support for field technicians, dispatch, and operations teams • Diagnose and resolve production issues including mobile sync failures, workflow errors, and data inconsistencies • Maintain technical documentation including ERDs, integration specifications, runbooks, and deployment plans • Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, guidance, and best practices • Participate in Agile delivery including sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives Requirements • 3–5+ years of experience with ServiceMax, FieldFX Mobile, or Salesforce development • Strong understanding of field service processes including work orders, jobs, labor, parts, approvals, and invoicing • Hands-on Salesforce development experience including Apex, Flows, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL • Experience building FX Forms, mobile workflows, and FieldFX or ServiceMax integrations • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, data migration, and integration tooling • Strong troubleshooting skills across mobile applications, data flows, integrations, and backend logic • Experience working in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) environments • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications • ServiceMax Certified Administrator or FieldFX Mobile Certified Professional • Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer I/II, Service Cloud, Integration Architect) • Experience in field-based or asset-intensive industries (industrial services, environmental services, utilities, etc.) • Experience supporting offline-capable mobile workforce applications • Familiarity with data governance, master data management, and security/compliance frameworks
