SFTP/FTP Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities Handle incidents and tickets efficiently, ensuring zero escalations and compliance with SLA response and resolution timelines. Work independently to resolve critical P1/P2 incidents without breaching SLAs. Provide on-call support and work in rotational shifts as required. Troubleshoot and resolve issues based on customer approvals. Manage Globalscape EFT configurations, including account creation, event rule setup, connection profiles, key pair configurations, and module troubleshooting. Ensure system availability by working with HA servers, RAM agents, and the Globalscape application hosting. Configure and manage DMZ, RAM, and AWE for secure file transfers. Perform encryption/decryption, SSL configuration, and permission group management. Utilize tools such as Putty, WinSCP, and FileZilla for file transfer operations. Run and support Unix and PowerShell scripts integrated with file transfer processes. Document incidents, root cause analysis, and provide long-term fixes. Must-Have Qualifications Proven hands-on experience with Globalscape EFT (versions 7.x and 8.x) and Managed File Transfer (MFT). Strong understanding of file transfer protocols: SFTP, FTP, FTPS, HTTPS. Experience in incident management and troubleshooting in high-pressure environments. Skilled in Globalscape modules: account management, event rules, key management, and connection setups. Knowledge of networking concepts and security practices in MFT environments. Experience working with HA servers, RAM agents, DMZ, RAM, and AWE configurations. Proficiency in Unix and PowerShell scripting. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. Willingness to work in shifts and provide on-call support. Preferred Qualifications Experience in enterprise-scale environments with large data transfer needs. Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management. Exposure to other MFT tools beyond Globalscape.
