Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced SharePoint / PowerApps / Power BI Developer to lead the design, development, enhancement, and sustainment of DOT related tools.
The ideal candidate is a senior-level professional with deep expertise in SharePoint Online, PowerApps (Canvas & Model-Driven), Power Automate, Power BI, data modeling, form automation, role-based workflows, document libraries, and complex enterprise process automation. This position requires someone who has been doing real software development for at least 15 years and can architect, build, test, and maintain production-grade enterprise tools with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
· Architect, enhance, and maintain a SharePoint-based workflow automation tool, ensuring full functionality, usability, and 508 compliance.
· Develop Software Design Documents, process maps, and technical documentation supporting system workflows and approvals.
· Build and maintain automated electronic workflows using PowerApps and Power Automate, including routing, approvals, review steps, and data capture.
· Implement role-based controls f
· Create upload capabilities for electronic documents in Word, Excel, PDF, and PowerPoint formats.
· Create and maintain change logs, version controls, and decision logs to track system updates.
· Provide user training, stakeholder briefings, and updated user manuals.
· Perform system testing and generate test scripts/results to validate compliance with requirements.
· Provide technical assistance related to permissions, workflows, and user access across FAA environments.
· Produce real-time reporting, monitoring dashboards, and automated status indicators for acquisition activities.
· Design digital library interfaces and intuitive document repositories .
· Create and maintain role-based access structures.
· Work with stakeholders to identify issues, refine automation processes, and ensure standardized approaches.
· Build advanced Power BI dashboards supporting acquisition monitoring, performance metrics, budget/cost tracking, schedule analysis, and trend reporting.
· Incorporate real-time data elements such as earned value metrics, comparison reports, and performance indicators.
· Ensure dashboards use consistent color palettes, accessible design principles, and standardized visual groupings.
Required Qualifications
· 15+ years professional software development experience.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
· Expert-level experience with:
o SharePoint Online (site collections, libraries, metadata, permissions, SPFx)
o PowerApps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps)
o Power Automate workflow development
o Power BI dashboard and data modeling
· Demonstrated ability to produce Software Design Documents, process maps, test scripts, and user manuals.
· Experience supporting large federal programs or complex enterprise environments.
· Strong understanding of role-based security models and workflow governance.
· Ability to interface directly with government stakeholders.
Preferred Certifications

· PL-100: Power Platform App Maker
· PL-200: Power Platform Functional Consultant
· PL-300: Power BI Data Analyst
