Responsibilities:
β’ Create and maintain documentation for Snowflake features, integrations, and developer tools, including conceptual guides, API references, SQL examples, and end-to-end tutorials.
β’ Translate complex data engineering and analytics concepts into content that is accessible to both enterprise and developer audiences.
β’ Develop scenario-based use cases that highlight how Snowflake can be applied in practical, real-world solutions (e.g., data pipelines, analytics, governance, and security).
β’ Continuously improve the user and developer experience by contributing to documentation tooling, processes, and best practices.
β’ Advocate for developers and data teams by proactively identifying gaps and ensuring our content addresses their needs.
β’ Stay current on Snowflake capabilities, data engineering trends, and industry best practices to keep documentation relevant and forward-looking.
β’ Review and edit peer content, maintaining clarity, consistency, and style alignment.
Requirements:
β’ 5+ years of experience as a technical writer, with a strong focus on developer and data engineering audiences in enterprise technology or cloud data platforms.
β’ 5+ years of Β experience in documenting complex software systems, particularly in Snowflake, data engineering, analytics, or cloud infrastructure.
β’ 3+ years of experience in creating and maintaining documentation for Snowflake features
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
β’ Strong technical skills and the ability to produce functional tutorials and code samples.
β’ A portfolio showcasing technical writing that explains complex concepts clearly and effectively.
Nice to Have:
β’ Hands-on understanding of Snowflake fundamentals, such as data sharing, security, governance, performance tuning, and integrations with tools like dbt, Fivetran, or Airflow.
β’ Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and how they interact with Snowflake.
β’ Comfort with HTML, CSS, and React for documentation styling and optimization.
