Relevant Experience: 9+ Years
Roles & Responsibilities:
β’ Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines using Snowflake.
β’ Architect and manage data warehousing solutions and ETL/ELT processes using tools like DBT, Matillion, Talend, or Informatica.
β’ Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and BI developers to understand data requirements and translate them into robust data models.
β’ Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, clustering, caching, and resource monitoring.
β’ Implement and maintain data governance, data security policies, and access controls within Snowflake.
β’ Collaborate with DevOps/Cloud teams to provision, monitor, and maintain Snowflake environments.
β’ Perform data migration from legacy systems or other cloud data platforms (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery) to Snowflake.
β’ Provide leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers and act as a technical SME for Snowflake.
β’ Stay updated with the latest Snowflake features and best practices and evaluate their applicability.
β’ Expertise in data modeling (dimensional, normalized/denormalized), data warehousing concepts, and star/snowflake schemas.
β’ Excellent problem-solving skills, communication skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
β’ Understanding of data governance, privacy (GDPR/CCPA), and security best practices.
β’ Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices for data environments.
