Title: Sr. Snowflake Data Engineer
Location: Frisco
We are seeking a Sr. Snowflake Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our enterprise data platform. This role requires deep technical expertise in Snowflake, data integration, and modern data architecture. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer with a strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, cloud data solutions, and best practices for data governance, scalability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Architect and implement scalable data pipelines and solutions using Snowflake, ensuring optimal data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
β’ Establish and enforce Snowflake best practices for performance tuning, cost management, and security.
β’ Experience with Snowflake data cataloging.
β’ Implement data quality and governance standards across the Snowflake ecosystem.
β’ Mentor and guide data engineers and analysts on Snowflake design patterns, SQL optimization, and platform capabilities.
β’ Partner with cloud teams: AWS to ensure data solutions align with enterprise architecture and compliance requirements.
β’ Lead troubleshooting and performance optimization efforts across the data platform.
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
β’ 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related technical field.
β’ 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform in enterprise environments.
β’ Solid understanding of cloud data architecture, preferably AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue) or Azure (Data Factory, Synapse). Complete understanding of Snowflake integration with AWS.
β’ Hands on Python experience, ingestion frameworks with Python and AWS.
β’ Hands on experience with Python for data transformation and automation.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Snowflake certification (SnowPro Advanced Architect or SnowPro Core).
