Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Software Asset & Data Specialist to join our Enterprise Software Management (ESM) program. This role will serve as a key enabler of our digital transformation and technology cost optimization initiatives by building and maintaining an enterprise-wide software inventory with integrated financial, contractual, and usage data. You will be responsible for developing the data foundation that supports license optimization, compliance readiness, strategic planning, and governance automation.
This position is ideal for a data-driven professional with deep knowledge of software asset management and a passion for building structured, scalable systems that empower decision-making across IT, Finance, Procurement, and Business Units.
MOST IMPORTANT AND MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
-Lead the development and continuous improvement of an enterprise-wide software inventory, ensuring data accuracy across financial, contractual, usage, and ownership domains
-Design and implement scalable processes for software asset data normalization, deduplication, and classification.
- Collaborate closely with IT, Procurement, Finance, and Security teams to support enterprise-wide visibility and alignment on software assets and cost centers.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and continuous improvement of an enterprise-wide software inventory, ensuring data accuracy across financial, contractual, usage, and ownership domains.
Design and implement scalable processes for software asset data normalization, deduplication, and classification.
Integrate and reconcile data across platforms such as Zylo, OpenLM, SAP GL, Coupa, and procurement or contract management systems.
Maintain and enforce data governance policies to ensure ongoing data integrity and lifecycle traceability.
Collaborate closely with IT, Procurement, Finance, and Security teams to support enterprise-wide visibility and alignment on software assets and cost centers.
Generate structured reporting and insights to support license optimization, vendor negotiations, compliance audits, and executive decision-making.
Serve as a subject matter expert on software asset data and lifecycle management, driving standardization and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor"s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business, or a related field; Master"s preferred.
5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), or Enterprise Technology Operations.
Proficiency with asset and cost management platforms (e.g., Zylo, Snow, Flexera, OpenLM, ServiceNow SAM).
Strong expertise in data modeling, system integration, and cross-platform reconciliation.
Proven ability to design and manage structured reporting, dashboards, and data governance frameworks.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into business-relevant insights.
