Description
As the PDM Administrator, you will be responsible for administering SolidWorks PDM, supporting upgrades, managing licenses, integrating with other platforms, and providing technical support to users. This role also involves training, documentation, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders to implement system improvements and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
SolidWorks PDM Administration
β’ Assist with software upgrades for all SolidWorks products.
β’ Support configuration changes and resolve system issues in partnership with resellers or SolidWorks.
β’ Implement new software functionality as released.
System Administration & Technical Support
β’ Manage Autodesk licenses and related purchases.
β’ Oversee SolidWorks network licenses: purchases, usage monitoring, and optimization.
β’ Support integration of SolidWorks PDM with Windchill, including servers, custom software, and databases.
β’ Provide technical support for SolidWorks products, Virtual Desktop Environments (VMWare, Azure Local), and related systems.
Training & Collaboration
β’ Develop and update video training modules and documentation.
β’ Conduct training sessions on PDM, Windchill integration, and standards.
β’ Create Knowledge Base articles for end users, site leads, administrators, and IT teams.
β’ Collaborate with site leads to understand needs, share updates, and support global system changes.

REQUIREMENTS
β’ Associate degree in Engineering Drafting & Design or related field.
β’ 5+ years of SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM experience (must be shown on resume).
β’ 2+ years as a SolidWorks PDM Administrator (must be shown on resume).
Preferred
β’ Knowledge of SQL and ability to read/write queries.
β’ Programming skills in C#, Visual Basic, REST API, and COM API.
β’ SharePoint development experience, including PowerApps and Power Automate.
β’ Understanding of server architecture, data storage solutions, and network infrastructure.
Other
β’ Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
β’ Commitment to staying current with MCAD technology trends.
