Job Title: Solution Architect
Location: Miramar, FL / Dallas, TX (Hybrid, 3 days Onsite a week)
Duration: 6-12+ Months Contract to Hire
Job Description
Role Overview
This is a high-visibility, Level III Solution Architect role focused on automation and observability. The position is both hands-on (60%) and architectural/strategic (40%), requiring someone with a developer background who has grown into architecture.
The architect will build automation and observability solutions that align to the companyβs North Star strategy, consolidate siloed tools into standardized platforms, and partner across five architecture pillars (integration, security, data, application, observability).
The role requires strong technical skills, enterprise mindset, and leadership ability to interact with both developers (POCs, debugging, metrics) and senior stakeholders (standards, enterprise alignment).
Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable)
Hands-on, Hands-on, Hands-on repeated 50 times Programmer Background
Dynatrace, Splunk, Terraform and Python
Understand how AI works out of the box Understanding of vendor AI vs enterprise AI (Lakehouse, Kafka, API gateways). Must know when to leverage out-of-box vendor AI vs. internal enterprise AI.
Excellent communication skills must face clients
Development Background: Must come from coding / development, not βivory towerβ architecture.
Automation Tools: Terraform, Ansible, Python (critical), Bash.
Observability: Strong with Dynatrace and Splunk (standardization focus); familiarity with Prometheus & Grafana.
Cloud: AWS services (broad exposure expected).
Kubernetes/OpenShift: Understanding of clusters, deployment, monitoring, and reporting.
System Performance Metrics: Ability to define and measure KPIs, not just create dashboards.
Security Practices: Familiarity with shift-left / shift-right models; understanding of embedding security in pipelines.
Soft Skills: Strong communicator, client-facing, able to influence across varied business units (βold schoolβ vs βnew schoolβ environments).
Should-Haves
Familiarity with Databricks for dashboards / reporting.
Understanding of vendor AI vs enterprise AI (Lakehouse, Kafka, API gateways). Must know when to leverage out-of-box vendor AI vs. internal enterprise AI.
Prior experience consolidating fragmented observability tools into enterprise dashboards.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Harness, Jenkins).
Enterprise-scale experience OR small-company breadth β both are acceptable if they can demonstrate awareness of scaling challenges.
Nice-to-Haves
Knowledge of predictive analytics, anomaly detection, or NLP use cases in observability.
Awareness of UI/UX concepts for data visualization (making dashboards useful, not just βfancyβ).
Must-Have Skills
10+ years of experience in software architecture, solution design, or technical leadership, with demonstrated experience in automation and observability solutions.
Hands-on experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages like Python and Bash.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS), observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.), and automation technologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex technical issues.
Familiarity with Harness for continuous delivery and deployment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools
Hands-on Python experience
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, prompt engineering, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.
Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native technologies.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation testing frameworks.
Understanding of "Shift-left" and "shift-right" security approaches, including practices such as SAST, SCA, secrets detection, RASP, and chaos engineering for enhanced security and resilience.

β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and design solutions that meet business needs.
β’ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineering teams on automation best practices.
β’ Utilize observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
β’ Create and maintain technical documentation, dashboards, and reports to provide insights into system performance and automation effectiveness.
