Job Title: Space Planning & Analytics Analyst
Type: 3-month contract with possible extension
Location: Remote 100%
We are seeking a Space Planning & Analytics Analyst to join our team on a remote, contract basis. This role will support cross-functional teams such as Warehouse-as-a-Service (WaaS), Category Management, and Local Operations to optimize the performance of real estate and warehouse portfolio. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that blends data analytics, process improvement, and operational support.
As a newly created role within an evolving team, this individual will not only support current initiatives but will also have the opportunity to help shape strategic direction and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Redesigns (30%)
β’ Develop and update warehouse layout designs to optimize space utilization and operational efficiency.
β’ Utilize Google Sheets and Excel to model layout updates and performance impacts.
β’ Create new layouts using Lucidchart and maintain these collaboratively with Local Ops teams.
β’ Support pilot initiatives (e.g., multi-bin tests) to validate and scale new redesign ideas.
β’ Propose capital investments (CapEx) that drive improved throughput and revenue per square foot.
1. Equipment Management (50%)
β’ Manage storage equipment procurement and installation in partnership with Local Ops.
β’ Monitor budgets and forecasts related to new equipment investments.
β’ Proactively escalate power capacity concerns and manage upgrade coordination with local stakeholders.
β’ Document and catalog infrastructure upgrades to support accurate power and capacity tracking.
1. Data Management (20%)
β’ Execute routine data uploads and audits on capacity and SKU dashboards.
β’ Maintain and refine the revenue/square foot dashboard to identify optimization opportunities.
β’ Perform regular site-level audits to validate equipment counts and storage metrics.
β’ Collaborate with Local Ops to integrate field insights into centralized datasets.
β’ Develop and maintain documentation for dashboards, upload procedures, and analytical tools.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 1β2 years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar data-focused role.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
β’ Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate across diverse stakeholders.
β’ Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience with Lucidchart or similar layout/design tools.
β’ Basic knowledge of SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
β’ Previous experience in warehouse operations, supply chain, or facilities planning.
