Title: Splunk Engineer/Architect
12-Month Contract- the possibility of extension or perm.
Location: Charlotte, NC - will be a hybrid schedule, onsite day one.
Pay Rate: $60 /hr W2 - rates do not include benefits or PTO. W2 ONLY, roles not available on C2C.
Primary Skill: Splunk
Required minimum qualifications:
Β· 5+ years of expert-level Splunk Architect/Engineer experience
Β· Well-versed with search head and indexer clustering topology
Β· Hands-on shell scripting and Linux/Windows system administration experience
Β· Some expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, and/or Windows scripts
Β· Thorough knowledge of regular expressions
Β· Strong debugging and analytical skills
Β· Good communication skills and tenaciousness to drive vendors, system admins, and others to deliver solutions together
Β· Creative individual with a track record of working on and implementing innovative technology solutions
What sets you apart from other candidates:
β’ Experience with deployment tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, BladeLogic, and/or AutoSys
β’ Experience working in a secure, multi-data center environment
β’ Experience with other monitoring tools
β’ BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline

Role overview: The right candidate will join our Splunk Engineering Team as an individual contributor and will be responsible for managing, expanding, upgrading, automating, and improving performance and sustainability for our huge Splunk environment as a hands-on engineer/architect. The candidate will drive implementation using the Lean-Agile methodology.
Key responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for Splunk system architecture, data analytics, performance management, automation, and some administration, for the Splunk deployments we manage across the enterprise. Good communication skills are needed to interact with technology and business groups, gather requirements, and deliver the solution.
Develop and maintain automation tools for CI/CD workflows using Terraform, OpenShift, Bitbucket, and other tools.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation tools into the software development lifecycle.
Design and implement automation frameworks and processes to optimize software testing and deployment.
Work with infrastructure teams to ensure automation tools are integrated with the appropriate infrastructure components.
Identify and address technical issues with automation tools and processes.
Develop and maintain documentation for automation tools and processes.
The qualified individual will have soft skills in:
