Strong experience performance with tuning and queries.Title: Database AdministratorJob Summary:The Database Administrator will focus on managing and optimizing SQL Server across on-premise and AWS environments. The role involves troubleshooting issues, implementing best practices, and ensuring real-time data synchronization between MS SQL Server and MySQL databases. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL Server replication, performance tuning, and cross-platform data integration. Key Responsibilities: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SQL Server replication to ensure real-time data synchronization. Diagnose and resolve replication issues related to SQL Server settings, network latency, and data consistency. Implement best practices for replication security, including Windows Authentication, SSL/TLS encryption, and least-privilege access. Optimize replication performance by tuning distributor settings, reducing latency, and minimizing resource overhead. Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of replication processes with live applications. Develop and maintain scripts for replication topology, backup, and disaster recovery. Monitor replication health using tools like SQL Server Replication Monitor and set up alerts for proactive issue resolution. Validate data periodically to ensure accuracy and consistency across replicated databases. Qualifications: Proven experience managing SQL Server and AWS in hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud). Strong understanding of replication types (transactional, merge, snapshot) and their use cases. Proficiency in troubleshooting replication issues, including latency, conflicts, and connectivity problems. Familiarity with MySQL replication tools like SQDR and cross-platform data synchronization. Knowledge of security best practices, including Windows Authentication, SSL/TLS, and strong password policies. Experience with SQL Server Agent, replication monitoring tools, and performance tuning techniques. Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, T-SQL) for automation and maintenance tasks. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with AWS database services and cloud-to-cloud replication.
