SQL ETL Data Conversion Developer - 100% Remote

Job Title: SQL ETL/Data Conversion Developer (C# / SSIS / ETL) Location: Remote Job Type: Contract (12 months to start) What you will be doing: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SQL ETL Data Conversion Developer with strong experience in C# programming and ETL development using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and Visual Studio. In this role, you would be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust data conversion solutions that migrate and transform data from heterogeneous data systems into various internal custom-built claims processing applications. The key technical skills are SSIS, SQL Server, T-SQL, ETL, .NET, Visual Studio, XML, and flat files. The hiring manager said he likes people who take initiative, can work independently, and also collaborate. Key Responsibilities: • Analyze source system data structures and develop conversion specifications. • Design, develop, and maintain ETL packages using SSIS to extract, transform, and load data. • Write custom scripts and tools in C# to handle data parsing, transformation, and validation tasks. • Ensure high data quality through the implementation of robust validation and reconciliation processes. • Collaborate with database administrators, business analysts, and project managers to gather requirements and ensure successful data migrations. • Troubleshoot data inconsistencies and resolve data-related issues during the conversion process. • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation related to data mapping, transformation logic, and ETL processes. • Participate in data conversion planning, scheduling, and testing activities as part of project delivery. • Support production deployments and post-conversion data integrity checks. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • 3+ years of hands-on experience with C# development, including file processing and data transformation logic. • 3+ years of experience with SQL Server and SSIS ETL package development. • Solid understanding of relational database concepts and data normalization. • Experience working with flat files, XML, Excel, CSV, or other data formats. • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with data migration tools or data quality platforms.
