SQL / Power BI Data Analyst

Our client is seeking a SQL / Power BI Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing, testing, and maintaining SQL database solutions, as well as implementing and managing Power BI environments. The candidate needs to be familiar with Azure cloud environment, especially with Logic Apps and Data Factory. Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident, 100% Remote within U.S. W2 or 1099, can be LLC Individual - Absolutely No Agencies or Third-Party Staffing Firms This is a contract with potential for multiple extensions or hire Key Responsibilities • SQL Database Solutions: Develop, test, document, implement, and maintain high-quality SQL database solutions, including SQL Stored Procedures and SSRS reports, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with specifications and supporting documents. • Power BI Implementation: Implement and manage Power BI solutions for client reporting, including creating and maintaining paginated reports and managing Azure Active Directory security groups for report access. • Reporting and Analysis: Create and maintain Power BI reports for Azure cost analysis, providing critical insights to upper management. • Performance Optimization: Analyze and update existing SQL queries to enhance performance and reduce response times for applications. • Technical Support: Serve as an escalation point for the product support team, assisting with the creation and review of SQL scripts, and conducting data research as needed. Qualifications: • Minimum 3+ years experience in SQL database development, including stored procedures, query optimization, and SSRS report creation. • Minimum 2+ years experience with Power BI, including report creation, management, and security configuration using Azure Active Directory. • 1+ years experience with Azure environments and cloud-based data solutions. • 1+ years experience with Azure Logic Apps • Experience with Azure Power Automate • Experience with Azure Data Factory • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on performance improvements and data accuracy. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and act as a technical resource for the support team.
