Cloud Data Warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) Job Description: What They are Looking for: β€’ Requires strong data experience. - Must understand and work with data. Not concerned about scale. β€’ Primary responsibility is to understand and model data for end-user use cases. β€’ Must Have - Healthcare experience β€’ Must be able to take raw membership data, talk to stakeholders (like a BI person), and create a data model that transforms the raw data into a usable format for the end user. β€’ Will use tools set up by the Data Engineers; must figure out how to use those tools and apply them to specific use cases. β€’ Soft Skills: β€’ Can act as a consultant for multiple non-technical stakeholders. β€’ Able to get a sense of requirements and come up with solutions. β€’ Experience working with stakeholders like Actuaries, Business Analysts, and C-Suite teams. About the Role: We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer who brings deep expertise in data modeling, transformation design, and analytics-focused engineering. In this role, you’ll build and optimize the semantic and transformation layers that power analytics across the organization. You’ll architect dbt models, implement data quality frameworks, standardize metrics, and improve the discoverability and reliability of our analytics ecosystem. You’ll partner closely with data engineers, analysts, product, and platform teams to elevate how the company uses and trusts data. Key Responsibilities β€’ Build and optimize dbt models, dimensional structures, and semantic layers. β€’ Develop high-quality SQL transformations and reusable analytics datasets. β€’ Implement data tests, validation frameworks, and lineage visibility. β€’ Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to productionize pipelines. β€’ Document models, metrics, and business logic for cross-team use. Qualifications Required: β€’ 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI engineering, or data engineering working with AWS. β€’ 3+ years of experience in healthcare particularly demonstrated experience with processing healthcare data β€’ Expert SQL and production-grade dbt experience (core or Cloud) for building modular, tested, and scalable transformation pipelines. β€’ Strong data modeling skills including dimensional modeling, semantic layer design, and standardized metric definitions. β€’ Hands-on experience with a major cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.) and understanding of performance optimization. β€’ Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect) for scheduling and operationalizing data transformations. β€’ Solid engineering fundamentals including Git, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and documentation in a modern software development workflow. β€’ Proven cross-functional collaboration with analysts, data engineers, and product teams to translate business needs into scalable data models.
