Sr APIM Engineer/Lead

Job Summary Seeking a Senior APIM Engineer / Lead to design, implement, and scale enterprise API platforms. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing APIs aligned with business goals. Key Responsibilities • Design and manage API platforms (Azure APIM, Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong, AWS API Gateway) • Define API standards and implement lifecycle management • Configure API gateways (routing, throttling, caching, versioning) • Implement API security (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS) • Build CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using IaC (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) • Enable monitoring, logging, and performance optimization • Support API integrations and troubleshoot complex issues • Lead API initiatives, mentor team members, and promote API-first strategy Required Skills • 7+ years in software/integration; 3+ years in API management • Strong REST API and HTTP knowledge • Experience with API gateways (Azure APIM, Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong, AWS) • Proficiency in Java, C#, JavaScript, or Python • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) • Knowledge of networking (DNS, TLS, load balancing) • CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code experience Preferred • Event-driven architecture (Kafka, SNS/SQS, Event Grid) • Docker/Kubernetes • Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS) • Experience in regulated industries Soft Skills • Strong communication and stakeholder management • Ability to drive technical decisions and lead initiatives • Balance between hands-on work and strategic leadership Thanks and Regards, Johnson S – Sr.Technical Recruiter Aptino, Inc. 8176239800 Johnson.sakare@aptino.com www.aptino.com
