This role is ideal for a confident and collaborative professional who excels in cloud architecture—not a development role, but one that requires deep technical expertise and hands-on experience in Azure systems design, infrastructure automation, and cloud operations. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Architecture & Design • Design and implement Azure-based infrastructure and landing zones • Develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments • Apply expert knowledge of Azure’s architecture and inner workings Infrastructure as Code (IaC) • Deploy and manage infrastructure using Terraform (must-have skill) • Automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources Operational Excellence • Build, configure, and manage virtual machines, networks, and core Azure resources • Lead POC initiatives to evaluate and adopt Azure services • Ensure secure and reliable cloud operations and network configurations Generalist Expertise • Provide L2/L3 support and mentorship to junior engineers • Implement monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery processes • Develop scripts using PowerShell, Python, and JSON for automation and operational efficiency • Maintain Jira tasks, documentation in Confluence, and participate in agile team rituals Required Experience & Skills: • 7+ years in enterprise IT infrastructure engineering • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Azure architecture, design, and support • Proven experience with Azure Site Recovery and disaster recovery implementations • Expertise in workload migration from on-prem to Azure • Strong skills in Terraform and IaC best practices • Experience with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) • Proficient in scripting with PowerShell and Python • Familiar with configuration tools like Ansible • Experience with Azure AD, OKTA, and identity management solutions • Background in both Windows Server and Linux administration • Understanding of cloud security controls, including IAM, network security, and SIEM tools • Experience with GIT (branching strategies, basics) • Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS deployment models and management • Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures and multi-cloud environments • Deep understanding of the OSI model, LAN/WAN technologies, and high-level network design • Experience with backup, business continuity, and DR processes • Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and business analysis skills Preferred Qualifications: • Experience supporting large, diverse user bases • Working knowledge of modern DevOps tools and best practices • Hands-on involvement with infrastructure modernization projects • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable cloud solutions • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies
