Sr. Data Engineer (Data Lake & AI) | Multi-strategy Hedge Fund ($11b AUM) | $150-175/hr Contract

Ready to kickstart a greenfield data engineering project with a fast-growing multi-strategy hedge fund in NYC? Our client is looking to onboard 2-3 senior data engineering consultants who are eager to hit the ground running on a new Data Lake & AI greenfield engineering initiative. This firm has quickly become one of the key players in the hedge fund space, and are eager to start implementing AI and harnessing it's power to give their PM's significant advantages. Historically, the firm has had 2 data engineering teams; one covers the pre-trade data and the other focused on post-trade data. This would be a new team that would sit inbetween the two, creating a more centralized data team that will harmonize both pre and post-trading data together, creating AI extensibility. We're looking for talented engineers who have a deep understanding of how AI/ML pipelines interact with structured financial datasets. You'll work on a variety of things upon joining the business from pipeline development, AI data engineering, to platform integration and performance. We'll be considering candidates with strong Python or Java programming skills, experience with cloud systems (ie. Snowflake), and exposure to LLM integrations or AI infrastructure. This is a hybrid consulting role that'll have you working in our clients Midtown Manhattan office 3x per week. My client's considering candidates on pay rates between $150-175/hr who have an LLC they can operate through.
