Position: Sr. Data Quantitative Analyst
Location: Buffalo NY (remote role) must be in NY (Locals or Nearby)
Duration: 12 + month (W2 Role)
What You'll Be Doing:
β’ Explore, mine, and profile data across multiple large complex datasets to gain and interpret insights for use in statistical and quantitative analytics.
β’ Modify data warehouses as necessary; document and store code to enable higher speed to impact.
β’ Mentor less experienced team members.
β’ Conduct complex data manipulation and analysis with common programming languages. Consolidate results for business consumption with guidance from senior team members.
β’ Track and report performance of multiple portfolios/campaigns. Identify deviations from expectations, explain variances and explore interactions between interconnected portfolios.
β’ Perform complex quantitative analysis to understand and quantify business problems leveraging statistical methods.
β’ Develop simple visualizations to explore and explain data. Draft exhibits and supporting materials for sharing analysis results with senior business leaders.
β’ Work with Data Visualization Analysts to develop interactive visualizations and dashboards.
β’ Understand and adhere to the company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls.
β’ Design, implement, maintain, and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis.
What You'll Need to Have:
β’ 5+ years hands-on SQL experience
β’ Proficiency in SAS and/or Python for data manipulation and analysis
β’ Experience in Financial Services is preferred
β’ Experience conducting complex statistical and quantitative analysis
β’ Ability to create visualizations and support materials to present to leadership
β’ Strong communication and mentoring skills
β’ Knowledge of data warehousing and manipulation practices
