JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sr Data Analyst with strong experience in Data Warehousing (DWH) and a solid understanding of the insurance domain. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and transforming data into actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, ensure data quality, and support reporting and BI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Analyze complex datasets from internal and external sources, with a focus on insurance-related data.
β’ Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis from DWH systems.
β’ Guidewire (Policy Center, Claim center) exposure or working experience would be preferred.
β’ Collaborate with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements and KPIs.
β’ Support data modeling and integration efforts across DWH and data platforms.
β’ Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and governance standards across all analytics outputs.
β’ Generate and maintain dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc analyses using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
β’ Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support underwriting, claims, pricing, and risk analysis functions.
β’ Assist in DWH maintenance and enhancement, including ETL processes and data pipeline improvements.
β’ Document data definitions, business logic, and reporting standards.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 10+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
β’ Proven experience working with Data Warehousing systems (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, or similar).
β’ Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale relational databases.
β’ Solid understanding of insurance processes, including underwriting, claims, and policy data.
β’ Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau.
β’ Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
β’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills for translating data into business terms.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience with data modeling tools and techniques (e.g., Kimball, star/snowflake schema).
β’ Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
