Role description

Job Summary – Sr. Oracle Database Developer (ADP, Parsippany, NJ)

   • Hands-on, senior-level Oracle Database Developer supporting a Payroll Platform at ADP.

   • Focused on high-performance database development (not infrastructure/DBA).

   • Responsibilities include writing and optimizing Oracle SQL/PLSQL queries, improving system performance, and delivering scalable data solutions.

   • Must have strong and recent (last 5 years) Oracle SQL/PLSQL experience; some prior MS SQL experience is helpful but not required.

   • Experience with PostgreSQL is required.

   • Deep knowledge of Oracle database features; Oracle VPD experience preferred.

   • Scripting experience required (Python preferred, Shell scripting).

   • Experience with Linux OS (RedHat).

   • Familiarity with application deployment, automations, and DevOps tools (Artifactory, GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible).

   • Understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

   • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

   • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).

   • Nice to have: Liquibase, Oracle Certification, Java and Hibernate development, experience with Oracle Cloud Control, Golden Gate, and Golden Gate BDA.
