Please find the position details below: Job Title: Sr. Oracle Database Developer (PL/SQL & Python) Location: Jersey City , NJ (Hybrid – 2 weeks onsite , 2 weeks remote) Duration: 12+ Months Contract with possibility of extension or Conversion Interview: 2 rounds, first is tech round, with coding exercise. Second is behavioral with manager and Squad Lead. What is the Client Looking For? (Key Candidate Profile) Top Requirements 10+ years Oracle Database Development (senior level) Strong data modeling, PL/SQL, performance tuning Ability to read/understand SQL from Geneva (not required to code Geneva SQL) Experience with stored procedures, triggers, functions, pipeline functions Oracle RDBMS deep knowledge (partitioning, roles, privileges, optimization) Data analysis and debugging complex SQL logic Python & shell scripting for data manipulation Strong Linux experience SQL Loader & SQL Plus experience Agile team experience Nice-to-Have • Oracle AQ messaging • Core Java • AWS Cloud exposure • Prime Brokerage, Capital Markets, Hedge Fund, or Financial Services background • Accounting knowledge What is the Project? Prime Services Group is initiating a major multi-year modernization program. They currently rely on a third-party reporting tool called Geneva, which is heavily SQL-based and licensed until 2027. The goal is to fully decommission Geneva and build internal, scalable, Oracle-based data structures and applications to replace its functionality. To achieve this, they need senior Oracle Database Developers who can: • Understand and interpret Geneva’s SQL-based logic • Redesign data structures and replicate or enhance Geneva’s reporting capabilities • Support various Prime Brokerage business applications • Build new Oracle-based solutions that integrate with existing upstream/downstream systems This work directly supports the Prime Brokerage business, serving hedge fund clients and internal trading/reconciliation teams. Summary of What the Project Needs A senior, self-sufficient Oracle Database Developer who can: • Analyze Geneva SQL logic • Rebuild and migrate reporting functions into Oracle • Tune and optimize high-volume database operations • Work across teams in a hybrid Agile environment • Support Prime Brokerage applications dealing with trade, position, and accounting data • Contribute to an enterprise transformation initiative with minimal oversight
