Role description
Our entertainment client is looking for a Sr. UX Designer to work an assignment lasting for 12+ months. This is a hybrid role: candidates must be able to work onsite 3 days/week in Burbank (candidates can work from home on remaining days, 40 hrs/week). The Design Lead is an expert player-coach who can set a strategic design vision, guide research and design implementation, and deliver high-quality, production-ready materials at speed. They are chief collaborators with the business, technical, and product leaders to understand and inform the vision, objectives, and transformation plans to help identify opportunities for impact. Job Responsibilities / Typical Day In The Role Champion a human-centered product vision for the POD: β€’ Set the strategic direction for the platform, aligning it with business goals and product strategies across multiple workstreams Lead the evolution of the platform to an integrated system with advanced predictive analytics and user experience orchestration Lead and own execution of design efforts in agile cadence: β€’ Identify, prioritize, plan, and execute iterative design research (generative, evaluative) to inform product backlog and UX design decisions β€’ Ideate, define, and deliver detailed designs for user stories, including informing user story acceptance criteria and product prioritization Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement β€’ Lead POD design team in creating, contributing to and maintaining the design system and other design ops resources Cross-Functional Collaboration β€’ Work closely with product owner, data science team, and POD & Platform developers to ensure the product designs are implemented effectively β€’ Facilitate technical discussions with other designers across PODs to ensure consistency and best-in-class practices balanced with efficiency and a delivery-oriented mindset β€’ Champion design and research best practices within the POD and beyond β€’ Stakeholder communication & governance: Act as the primary voice of the user and UX expert in sprint demos and interactions with stakeholders and leadership. Ensure compliance with accessibility and UX standards Tech Requirements β€’ Figma - design & interaction tool β€’ Miro - business collaboration tool β€’ Jira - project management and tracking β€’ Confluence - for documenting data β€’ MO365 Must Have Skills / Requirements β€’ Excellent leadership skills with experience in leading design within cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders β€’ 5+ years leading design teams β€’ Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment β€’ Portfolio based - Please include any passwords to review case studies on Cover Page and Supplier Notes on request β€’ UX Design/Figma expertise β€’ 8+ years - Quality to be seen in Portfolio Nice To Have Skills / Preferred Requirements β€’ Experience in designing Enterprise products β€’ Experience in software design and development β€’ Background in Finance, Media or Entertainment β€’ Data Visualization β€’ Rapid Prototyping Soft Skills β€’ Proactive mindset with a passion for building modern enterprise products that deliver seamless, easy-to-use experiences and drive business growth β€’ Deep expertise in agile design and development of B2B or internal enterprise applications and mobile-first design principles β€’ Strong understanding of accessibility and product design research best practices β€’ Experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performance platforms that support continuous value delivery β€’ Excellent leadership skills with experience in leading design within cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders β€’ Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating design strategies and complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences β€’ Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment β€’ Ability to co-create design concepts with designers using tools such as Figma and Miro.
