Job#: 3027687 Job Description: Application Programmer III Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (Onsite) Employment Type: Contract Role Overview This position involves end-to-end platform administration and support tasks for a shared Starburst platform. The role focuses on installation, configuration, maintenance, and issue resolution to ensure platform stability and performance. The candidate will be required to be onsite three days per week. Key Responsibilities • Perform installation and configuration of Starburst software. • Coordinate, plan, and execute activities related to platform maintenance, disaster recovery, and software release management. • Serve as a Level 3 escalation point for platform issue resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. • Conduct configuration and tuning of production and lower-level environments. • Perform capacity and stability monitoring, and assist with platform metrics collection and reporting. • Contribute to the definition, review, documentation, and communication of standards and best practices. Required Qualifications Technical Skills: The following are required qualifications for this role. • Hands-on experience with Starburst software installation and configuration. • Working knowledge of RedHat OpenShift and Kubernetes. • Experience with Starburst application, Trino, and SQL query tuning. • Proven troubleshooting and issue resolution skills. • Ability to analyze and communicate root cause and resolution steps. • Familiarity with Starburst software best practices and security models. • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
